IPL Auction 2022: The 2 day mega auction that began on Saturday saw franchises go all out to buy the pacers and were seen picking both Indian and foreign pacers at the huge price. Mumbai Indians came up with late charge to buy Jofra Archer for Rs 8 Cr and Tim David for Rs 8.25 crore in Bengaluru on Sunday. The base price for the fast bowler buy Jofra Archer was Rs 2 crore. He celebrated his entry into the Mumbai Indians squad with an emoji.
Delhi Capitals bought India U19 skipper Yash Dhull whereas Punjab Kings secured the services of India U19 star all-rounder Raj Angad Bawa for Rs 2 Cr and Chennai Super Kings roped in U19 all-rounder Rajvardhan Hangargekar for Rs 1.50 Cr. Earlier, Punjab Kings bought Liam Livingstone and Odean Smith for Rs 11.50 Cr and Rs 6 crore after intense bidding wars. Punjab Kings snatched Rishi Dhawan for Rs 55 lakhs whereas, Royal Challengers Bangalore bought Finn Allen for Rs 80 lakhs.
Gujarat Titans have bought Alzarri Joseph for Rs 2.4 Cr after fending off a bidding war from the Punjab Kings. SunRisers Hyderabad bought Australia pacer Sean Abbott for Rs 2.4 Cr. He had competition from Punjab Kings as well.
