The size of the devastating wildfires across large swaths of Los Angeles have forced thousands of residents to flee over the past 24 hours. The Palisades Fire evacuation zone nearly doubled on Tuesday evening with wind speeds fanning the flames expected to increase overnight before lessening somewhat just before dawn on Wednesday. Late Tuesday, reports of injuries began to filter out while The Reel Inn and Topanga Ranch Motel on PCH at Topanga Canyon Boulevard were destroyed. The City of Santa Monica issued an evacuation order for all areas of the city north of San Vicente while multiple evacuations were also issued in Topanga Canyon, Altadena and a portion of Pasadena. | Forgive Jeremy Strong if he feels like he and his The Apprentice cohorts are stuck in an extended Twilight Zone episode. Donald Trump long was a pariah to Hollywood, but that description is a better fit for how the town has treated The Apprentice. At the recent Golden Globes, Strong was upended by his former Succession co-star Kieran Culkin in the Supporting Actor category. That left Strong’s most indelible Globes moment being the green velvet Loro Piana suit and bucket hat he wore in a seat much further back in the Beverly Hilton ballroom than when he was winning Globes for Succession. With Oscar nominations just ahead, is there room for Strong in the role of his career so far as ruthless lawyer/Trump mentor Roy Cohn? Deadline’s Mike Fleming Jr. had a wide-ranging discussion with the actor to consider that and more. >>>Read The Interview |
