In the Nevada Desert, an Airplane-Like Home Sells for $15 Million

Cleared for takeoff: An airplane-like home in Nevada has sold for $15 million. The roughly 10,000-square-foot house in Henderson was listed in January for $18.5 million. About 15 miles southeast of the Las Vegas Strip, it was built by couple Stephanie Goetz and Endre Holen, who are both aviators, around four years ago. The buyers are billionaire brothers Joshua and David Walters, heirs to a family real estate portfolio with commercial properties across the country, according to David. The Wall Street Journal

Deserted Building in Sydney Suburb Sells for Double the Expected Price

An abandoned building in Waterloo, Sydney, has sold at auction for twice its estimated price. The agents in charge of the sale expected the heritage-listed building, which was built in the early 1910s, to sell for about A$1 million (US$663,319), and instead it fetched A$2.05 million. Qatar Buys $9.8 Million Condo in New Boutique Development in New York's Greenwich Village

The Qatari government has expanded its New York real estate portfolio by buying a new $9.8 million condo in Manhattan's Greenwich Village neighborhood. Located in an 11-story boutique development, the apartment spans about 2,600 square feet and has three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. Investors Are Losing Confidence in Luxury London Properties

About two in five investors have lost confidence in London luxury properties as an asset class over the past year, according to a study by Enness Global. This decline is more prominent among international investors and those earning more than £200,000 (US$259,03) a year.
