After a downer summer with Furiosa, Horizon, et al, Warner Bros. turned things around in a big way with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. The sequel grossed $42M on Saturday – essentially even with Friday/previews – and totaled $111M for the weekend. In just its first three days of release, the Michael Keaton-Winona Ryder-Catherine O’Hara reunion, which also adds the marquee draw of Jenna Ortega, easily surpassed the lifetime total of the original 1988 movie. Without adjusting for inflation, the first Beetlejuice took in $74.7M. >>>73% Of Weekend's Foot Traffic |
