New York Home on Site Where Metallica Recorded First Album Listed for $3.4 Million
In downtown Rochester, New York, a single-family home with some rock 'n' roll history is on the market for $3.4 million. "The house was erected on the site where Metallica did their first album," said listing agent Tim Tompkins, with Howard Hanna–Rochester Main. Previously, the site was known as Music America Studios, where Metallica recorded "Kill 'Em All" in 1983. Boston's Condo Market Still Sluggish
The condominium market in Boston is still lethargic amid high mortgage rates and low inventory. Condo transactions in the city were down by 20.5% in the first quarter compared with the same period last year, according to Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices | Warren Residential. Emirati developer Binghatti is launching a new mega development in Dubai, comprising 1,666 residential units and 21 retail spaces adjacent to Dubai Hills. U.K. Apartment With Its Own Jail Cell Renting for £750 a Month
A studio apartment on the U.K. rental market comes complete with its own jail cell. The flat, in the town of Dudley, some eight miles outside of Birmingham, is in a building that served as Dudley Police Station until 2017 and has since been converted into residences. "What the developers tried to do was keep as many key features of the building as possible," said listing agent Charlie Tank of Taylors Estate Agents.
