Hello! We're super excited to announce that Brummie Mummies is partnering with Just So Festival! We love this family festival because it's all about making memories together in the great outdoors, about parents getting involved rather than sitting watching their kids have all the fun! Taking place from Friday August 18 - Sunday 20 2023 at Rode Hall near Stoke on Trent, you'll discover music, theatre, circus, outdoor cinema, yoga, baby workshops and more throughout the beautiful Spellbound Forest, Shangri-La, Marauder's Cove, Footlights, Colourado and Peekaboo glades. Full of childhood nostalgia, there's a midnight feast under the stars, a Just So Sports Day and storytelling around campfires in the woods. Festival goers choose their animal family, dress up and compete in challenges over the weekend to win golden pebbles for the Carnival of the Animals, a tribal tournament which results in a grand parade. Find out more and book tickets via the Just So Festival website - and look out for a competition to win tickets, coming soon! | | | | |
| I took my kids to Just So - a forest festival with magic around every corner | | | Also, the countdown to half term is on and our big half term guide is out! It's packed with everything you need to know for a brilliant school break. And have you heard about the new Fairy Dell playground opening in Oxfordshire? It looks amazing and is only two hours from Brum. What's particularly good is that it has been designed to be fully accessible to all. Lots of our favourite lidos are reopening this weekend ready for the summer - and we've discovered a pretty outdoor pool with a bandstand that has live music evenings! This week's podcast is with Suzanne Alderson, founder of Parenting Mental Health. It's Mental Health Awareness Month and we're aware that a lot of young people are struggling with mental health issues, be that due to GCSEs, SATs or the pressures of social media and bullying. Suzanne nurtured her suicidal daughter back into health and set up a Facebook group that has gone onto help thousands. Listen to her mental health tips on the Brummie Mummies Podcast - it includes signs to look out for and what to do to help. Not long til school's out! Enjoy the half term holidays! love Zoe x | Read more | | | |
