The Awardist just came back from a lovely few days in Georgia for the SCAD Savannah Film Festival, and we were delighted by the small-town enthusiasm for some of the biggest contenders this season. Among the films spotlighted? The Banshees of Inisherin, Top Gun: Maverick, Women Talking, and She Said. And we were particularly proud to present Entertainment Weekly's Breaking Big panel honoring up-and-comers Vanessa Burghardt (Cha Cha Real Smooth), Madelyn Cline (Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery), Anna Diop (Nanny), Banks Repeta (Armageddon Time), and Ty Simpkins (The Whale).
