Ratan Jain, the producer of Gujarati film 'Dear Father', has confirmed the news that actor Prakash Raj has bought the rights to make films in South languages. Ratan ji said, "Yes, Prakash Raj has bought the rights of the film remake. He liked the story of the film and decided to take the remake rights soon." And when Ratan Jain was asked about the Hindi remake, he said, "Why not? Right now we are concentrating on our Gujarati film, which is all set to release on 4th March. Once that happens, we will think of a Hindi remake of it."
The film 'Dear Father' itself is a film version of Paresh Rawal's play 'Dear Father', whose story is quite mysterious. Apart from Paresh Rawal in the film, the famous actor of Gujarati cinema Chetan Dhanani and actress Mansi Parekh are in the lead roles. The story of the film revolves around 3 characters. Where there is a beautiful story of differences and misunderstandings between an old father and his son and daughter-in-law. In which Paresh ji, playing the father's character, suddenly has an accident and when the police reach his son-daughter-in-law's house to investigate, both are stunned to see that the person in the police officer is his father's lookalike. Who looks exactly like him and from there the twist comes and starts the real story of the film.
The film is directed by Umang Vyas and produced by Ratan Jain and Ganesh Jain. Late Uttam Gada ji was the writer of this play. The film is releasing in theaters on 4 March 2022.
