Bappi Lahiri's family has issued an official note for the prayer meet in which all other details including the place and time have been given. It further reads, 'The prayer meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 5 am to 7 pm.

Bappi Lahiri was admitted to Citycare Hospital located in Juhu, Mumbai, 29 days before his death. According to the doctor, he was suffering from obstructive sleep apnea and recurrent chest infections, although after some improvement in his health, he came home after recovering but then suddenly his health deteriorated and on 15 February he breathed his last.
Got the title of Disco King
It was Bappi Da who made everyone aware of the trend of disco songs in Bollywood. Bappi Lahiri, who made his debut in the 70s, made a big mark in the 80s, his music used to be in almost every film and used to rule the hearts of the people. He sang songs in films like 'Chalte Chalte', 'Disco Dancer' and 'Sharaabi'. His last work was 'Ganapati Bappa Morya' in September 2021. Apart from Hindi, Lahiri has also given music in Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Gujarati cinema.

The way Bappi Lahiri made his mark in the world of music. At the same time, he proved to be a flop in politics. He had also set foot in politics. In 2014, Bappi Da had contested from Shrirampur parliamentary seat in West Bengal but had to face defeat from TMC's Kalyan Banerjee.
