Ahead of the Indian Premiere League 2022 which is scheduled to be held on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru is all set to begin final countdown. The whole cricket world has arrived in Bangaluru. 10 team, including the new two teams will start on an even crust as they took to build their core group after the retentions and the draft picks. From a long list of over 1000 players who are in line for the IPL 2022 mega auction, 590 players, including 370 players from India were shortlisted.
Teams will have a topmost value of Rs 90 crore out of which all 10 franchises have used up money for retentions and draft picks. This is prevalent from the initial auction of this scale since 2018. The auction is being hosted by the British auctioneer Hugh Emandes on Saturday and Sunday.

KL Rahul was selected in the draft by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 16 crore, and he is the expensive player so far for IPL 2022. Among 590 players who have registered for the auction, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players and 7 are from Associate Nations. R Ashwin and Shreyas Iyer are among the 10 players who are the part of the marquee list for IPL 2022 auction.
