Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Rajamouli and Prabhas on ticket price issue post-meeting AP CM
Tollywood celebrities including SS Rajamouli, Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, R. Narayana Murthy,Ali, and Koratala Shiva and others met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy today. They flew to Vijayawada from Begumpet, Hyderabad. According to the latest, Telugu celebrities greeted YS Jagan Mohan Reddy presenting him with bouquets. The meeting came to an end with a positive note.
Telugu celebrities requested subsidy, exemption from GST for select movies, permission for the fifth show for the small and medium films, waiver of shooting charges at the historical places, handing over the online ticketing portal responsibility to film chamber, announcement of Nandi awards every year, subsidy in the electricity charges to theatres and exemption of property tax to the theatres.
Chiranjeevi said that he was very happy with the decision of CM Jagan. And added, "We feel that ticket prices issue will be completely solved with this meeting." After the meeting, Chiranjeevi interacted with media and said the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is committed to helping the film industry, and he intends to support the survival of small budget movies.
Chiranjeevi revealed that a GO is expected to be released by the end of this month. And he also informed Jagan Mohan Reddy wants to develop the film industry in Visakhapatnam.
Sarkaru Vaari Paata star Mahesh Babu also addressed the media and said the good news about the tickets issues and theatres will be announced in 10 days.
SS Rajamouli and Prabhas also addressed the media and thanked megastar Chiranjeevi for taking the initiative and solving industry problems.
