Dharmendra Change Sholay scene: One of the classic movies of Hindi cinema 'Sholay' which was released in the year 1975. Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar were the writers of this film. Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini and Jaya Bachchan were in lead roles in this film. By the time this film came out, Dharmendra had become a big star. For this reason, a scene of the film 'Sholay' was also changed at his behest. The film's writer Javed Akhtar had disclosed about this in an interview.
In the interview, Javed Akhtar had said, 'When Ramesh Sippy sahab decided to make a film on our script, most of the directors also raised questions on the location. Because after much thought he decided to shoot the entire movie in a village in Bangalore. We had already distributed the characters of the film. He had further said, 'We did not change the scenes at the behest of any actor and why would it have been changed? We had already decided the location for the shoot. But a tank scene which was changed at the behest of Dharmendra ji. He had to drink some alcohol for the scene. Although, we had planned to shoot that scene elsewhere, but Dharmendra gave his idea and later that scene also became a superhit'.
At the same time, while talking about the film 'Sholay' on the sets of his show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati', Amitabh Bachchan said, 'If Dharam ji and I leave for the set one day, our car breaks down in a crowded area in Bangalore. Went. It was a market where a crowd of people had gathered to see Dharam ji. About 3-4 thousand people had gathered there. I was very scared then, but he said don't be afraid. Dharam ji held my hand, then we sat in the auto and reached the set.
